AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited reported a 4.12% drop in net profit for the first quarter (Q1) of FY26 on last week. The company’s earnings dropped from Rs 58.2 crore in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25) to Rs 55.8 crore.
This decline occurred in spite of a robust increase in operating revenue, which increased 9.56 percent sequentially from Rs 480.4 crore to Rs 526.3 crore, as reported in its stock exchange filing.
Other income fell from Rs 16.1 crore in Q4 FY25 to Rs 11.2 crore, a steep loss of 30.43 percent.
Nonetheless, strong operational performance drove an 8.23% increase in total income from Rs 496.6 crore to Rs 537.5 crore.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, total expenses rose 12.12% to Rs 462.4 crore from Rs 412.4 crore in the prior quarter.
The company’s director and chief financial officer, Bhavana Agrawal, stated that the impressive quarterly results demonstrate the strength of rigorous execution coupled with science-led innovation.
“We are getting closer to improving outcomes for people with chronic illnesses with every regulatory milestone. We’re still committed to growing our business, fortifying alliances, and making sure that innovative medications get to the people who need them the most,” she continued.
