Jubilant Pharmova's net profit drops by about 79% to Rs 103 crore

On Tuesday, Jubilant Pharmova Limited said that its net profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025–26 (Q1 FY26) had dropped by 78.6% to Rs 103 crore, from Rs 482 crore in the same quarter the year before (Q1 FY25).

According to its stock exchange statement, revenue for the quarter increased by about 9% to Rs 1,900 crore from Rs 1,732 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA for the company climbed 11% to Rs 267.1 crore from Rs 240.7 crore during the same period last year.

Additionally, margins somewhat improved, coming in at 14.2% as opposed to 14% the year before.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, total expenses for the quarter increased to Rs 1,758 crore from Rs 1,642 crore during the same period in FY25. The company’s shares were down Rs 26.9, or 2.29 percent, at Rs 1,147.3 at 2:00 p.m. on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Over the past five days, the shares have given investors a negative return of more than Rs 40, or 3.37 percent. With operations in more than 50 countries, including the US, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Australia, Jubilant Pharmova is a multinational pharmaceutical corporation established in Uttar Pradesh.

Pharmaceuticals, Drug Discovery & Development Solutions, and Proprietary Novel Drugs are its three primary business segments.

Radiopharmaceuticals, allergy treatment products, generic formulations, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and sterile injectables are all part of its offering.

Additionally, the company offers contract research and development solutions through its CRDMO division, as well as contract manufacturing services for both sterile and non-sterile goods.

Jubilant Pharmova manages corporate social responsibility programs, including as sustainability projects and educational initiatives in government schools, in addition to its commercial activities.

With the opening of its Chemistry Innovation Research Centre in Greater Noida, the business has increased its capacity for research in recent years.

Additionally, it has introduced innovative devices for mobile medical use, such as RUBY-FILL and the RUBY Rubidium Elution System.
